NEW YORK, NY - The New York Rangers have re-signed three core members of their AsHL affiliate. Corey Potter, Adam Cracknell and Yann Danis will be back with the Hartford Wolfpack next season after Rangers GM Josh Sweetland announced extensions for all three of the veterans on Wednesday.
"Stabilizing our AsHL club has been a priority in recent weeks," said Sweetland. "We want to surround our up and coming young players with experienced veterans to aid in their development."
Potter, a 31 year-old defenceman from Lansing, Michigan, returns for his ninth season with the Rangers organization. Potter began his pro career with Hartford in 2006 and remains a steady rock on the blueline. Potter signed a two-year extension with the club.
Cracknell, a 30 year-old native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, also returns for his ninth season in the Rangers system. Cracknell comes off a 60-point campaign where he scored 21 goals and added 39 assists. He has signed a one-year extension with the Rangers.
Danis, a 34 year-old native of Lafontaine, Quebec, returns for his third season in the Rangers organization. Danis, who signed a two-year extension, was among the AsHL's busiest netminders last season, appearing in 75 games while recording a 2.76 goals against-average and an .898 save percentage to go with a 35-30-8 record.
The veteran trio will attend Training Camp with the Rangers at the MSG Training Center later this summer.
