Manitoba, OHhh CANADA,
Manitoba Moose open up there season with a 8-4 victory over Kansas City Gears. "We are kind of amazed that both teams lit up the lamp for a total of 12 goals. More amazing is that there were 4 goals per period. I am just happy the fans got to see a great high scoring game. It certainly kept them on their toes!" says Coach Ken Gernander, who continued to comment, "Drew Shore...wow what a player. In his first professional regluar season game he scores a hat trick, and not only three goals but gets 2 helpers. Big things will come from him."
Drew Shore in pre-season had a rough go around. He only managed to score 1 goal in 34 shots in 8 games. Which is the reason he is playing on the 2nd line. This has seemed to pay off for him. "I just want to thank my teammates, it is a little scary playing your first games and the butterflies are just rolling around down there. They kept me up and allowed me a chance to get my first points, and hat trick. I am at a loss for words right now," says Drew Shore.
Other big time player in last nights game was Steven Zalewski. Who happened to play on the same line as Drew. "It is create to see the kid play that well and perform. Especially at home like that. He will be a sensation for sure around here," Says Steven Zalewski.
Manitoba hope to continue their luck streak (including the pre-season) into tonight's game against Wilkes Barre-Scranton.
