Sigh. Three of those were drafted by the Avs. If anyone feels like re-drafting Dillon Donnelly, feel free. I won't stand in your way.

I believe in the past Nate has simply added stunt doubles to the draft when players are drafted for a second time and we came up short, so not to worry Patrick... but I have three on that list, too, so maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part (but I only drafted 2 of them - traded for McColgan during the draft weekend).

I've got Soberg. When he was first drafted, he had some decent potential. Then his stock dropped so no surprise at all that he didnt' get signed and is re-entering the draft.
Ahhh, dangit, I've got Perhonen too. His potential looked half assed too.

Guys, don't worry about players re-entering the draft. If you have guys on this list, and they are re-drafted, you won't lose their rights if you want to keep them.
There are young players who can be added to the draft list as well. I know in the past Nate has added a few younger players to fill in so we don't have anything to worry about.

We don't utilize the re-draft....if we are short with 18 year olds and those that have NEVER been drafted, I will come up with a few intriguing 20 somethings for the draft. We'll fill it out.
The players you draft are the players you keep until you decide to let them go.

Hi guys,
The list was just meant to be informative .. and nothing to do with our draft.
What it might tell a team is the prospect they drafted is potentially no longer a good prospect OR simply the prospect and the team just couldn't see eye-to-eye on a contract (not usually the issue) or the player just didn't like that team.
However, it is generally a red flag if a prospect isn't signed given the limited flexibility agents and GM's have with first contracts.
Although sometimes a guy can be a late bloomer and make it as a free agent even after he was left unsigned or even undrafted.
Also some of the guys might get redrafted, but usually much lower in the draft.

Good original post Ron - and you are probably correct about these guys going lower, but most will simply become free agents IMO. It doesn't mean they are done, just much longer shots. I remember a couple years ago Nate added in a European goalie that was coming to Minnesota as a free agent as an "alternate" draft pick when a player who re-entered the draft got picked again. It will be all good.

I'm not worried about losing those guys' rights. It's just not a good sign when a player re-enters the draft. Soberg, I will be surprised if he gets re-drafted. His stock has gone to crap.
