Re-rates are not considered 'assets'.
Players, prospects, picks and cash are.
Re-rates are a gameplay feature and can not be traded. Sorry.
The closest thing teams come to doing this is re-rating a player and then trading them to a team. This, is stupid, but legal.
..and that's my blunt opinion.

Speaking of competitive or comparative advantages, have I been paid on my six hot wings yet?

Spenny, we are glad that you are paying special attention to grammar and vocabulary during home room, maybe you can soon take over for the now defunct "Red Pen, Man Fire Crotch" Dave Bonkosky. With that said, be a man, put your money where YOUR MOUTH is. Same stipulations as you proposed, however, let's up the ante to a mans level and swap first round draft picks at the end of the season. After all, Greg Stack has made out very well from stockpiling WSH 1st round picks throughout his NsHL tenure. So, what do you say teenager? Daddy can't pay your way through this one...

Jack, I suppose you did not think it through. How about if you trade your first round draft pick? Am I going to strap my team this season and keep my first round draft pick unavailable because of an offer for you. If you can come up with a legitimate solution to this issue, then I will gladly accept; otherwise I will gladly take your money to the bank.

Or just a lack of confidence in your teams ability? No excuses, are we going to swap picks or what?

You're on, Jack.
Nathan - Please make certain this is legitimate so I don't hear any excuses from Jack.

Who is Nate, your secretary now, Spencer? At least you said please. You guys want to win? Make an outrageous deal with Anaheim. That will ensure that your team not only wins during the regular season, but has tremendous post season success as well. It will also keep the record 7 of 8 first round exit record going so you don't have to worry about playing the Ducks for the Cup. It's the secret to success.

All this intensity from Spencer and Jack reminds me of the "Walkoff" from Zoolander.
I wonder which one will bust out blue steel first?

Jack,
Given that you've ignored my e-mail, I'm going to ask you publicly if you are going to honour our deal at the beginning of the season to swap draft picks. You put it in writing on the board. We swap picks at the end of the year and I accepted. Are you going to be a man of your word or do you plan to pretend you never made that ludicrous offer?

A great example of why making bets in this league is ludicrous! This would cost a GM their job in the real NHL. It sullies the league, but the only way Jack can get out of this honourably is the commish doesn't allow this for the good of the league!

Ron,
The only way he can get out of this honorably is to honour is word. You couldn't be further from the truth. There's no honour in running to the Commissioner for help on a technicality. It was his silly idea and I simply accepted his offer. Maybe next time he won't do something so silly.
