PEI -- The Frostbite players feel very proud that they were able to dispatch Kansas City in 6.
"We did not take them lightly. In fact, I even took 2 games off due to issues going on at home," said LeNevue. "I have bruises from my wife at home and the guys in the locker room were starting to wonder why I was having bruises on my face with a cage on. Turns out no one believes a goalie can take a puck to the face anymore."
LeNevue declined to comment on what the exact injuries were. "I don't think we will be having any more problems with her. MUAHAHAHAHA!" said LeNevue twirling his mustache.
The team looks forward to Seattle who took their first round opponents to 7 games. Daniel Lacosta had one of the best GAA in the first round of the playoffs with a sub 2.00 GAA.
"One of the things we need to cut down on is Shots Against. We had a first round worst 40.50 shots against PER GAME. That has got to quit stop now. We would get eaten alive if it weren't for our two outstanding goaltenders," said GM Raines.
"We need to start sacrificing out bodies more. I am known as an offensive D and I am leading the team in shots blocked. I don't want to call anyone out but things need to start changing with out D," said an angry Carlson. "I've got bruises in places that I didn't even know existed."
GM Raines listed new lines in practice today but has kept a tight lip on what will happen with that.
"The good news is that the 2nd round is a clean slate and we start out 0-0 again. We want to keep opposing shots under 30 a game. That is the only way we will get past Seattle. In 7 games they allowed 1.90 goals against per game. We have to keep their shots down and hope to win some 2-1 games. If we start a run and gun type game, they will expose us and it will not be pretty," said Raines. "We have focused on D while we waiting for our opponent and we will be focused and ready to go for Game 1 on Sunday in our own barn."
