Blaine Kemp 32
Edmonton, Alberta
Will take any team that has a opening at this point.
I have not been in a FHL league for 5 years. Lack of activity and involvment by other GMs soured me on the expereince. But with all the improvements that have been added over the years my interest has returned, and now I just need to find a league that has a high level of activity.
Today the Edmonton Oilers announced that they have fired current managment, and hired Blaine Kemp as general manager and president of hockey operations. This move is seen as bringing stability back to the organization and hopefully back to its glory years.
It is believed Kemp will waste no time in making changes to the club as he tries to turn a club around that has been at the bottom of the league the last couple of years. The one promise made from the team offices is that they will not move to the boring, trapping style of hockey but more of a run and gun that the oiler fans fell in love with in the 80's.
This move should come as no suprise, as Owner and pharmacy billionaire Daryl Katz tries to distance himself from the day to day operations of the team, as the organzation is being investigated for illegal prescriptions to players from the katz owned pharmacies.
Blaine kemp was not available for comment, as he was in mettings with his scouting and coaching staff, reviewing his team and getting ready for the trade deadline which is only a few days away.
The commissioner had no comment in reagards to the investagiton, or the hiring of the new GM.
