Jacksonville will take the ice on Thursday to face division rival, the Abbotsford Heat. While still searching for their first win, the season has been anything but pretty. Through the first 6 games the Jokers have managed just as many goals (6).
Coach Rick Tocchet addressed the media this morning and had this to say:
"We are obiously not playing good hockey right now. Starting the season with six straight losses wasn't what we envisioned. Thursday we will face the Heat and emotions will hopefully give us a shove in the direction of success."
For a team that usually has sound play and playoff presence, the Jokers are far from the form fans are accustomed to. Going into Thursday, look for line adjustments in hopes to create some chemistry amongst the scoring lines. At this point, there isn't any one player that has stepped up to provide the production any team needs to overcome this season-starting slump.
