Montreal Canadiens have announced today that he has hired Joshua Raines to become GM of the Hamilton Bulldogs. Montreal GM has decided that he needs a GM to take over the day-to-day operations of Hamilton as well as provide a new set of eyes to help out with the scouting for the whole organization.
We sat down with the new GM and asked him a few questions about his plans for this team.
Q: What are your immediate plans with the team?
A: I plan to get started on an extensive scouting network for the entire organization with the help of the Montreal GM.
Q: What were your initial instructions from the big boss?
A: From what I understand, I am to take over the day-to-day operations of the Hamilton Bulldogs, such as sending in lines and player development. Other duties will be helping in the scouting department as well as being a fresh pair of eyes on moves and duties within the parent club.
Q: What do you hope to gain from this experience?
A: I hope to gain valuable knowledge of how to run a successful organization. Learning from someone who has years under his belt, will obviously be of a big help to a new GM.
