My name is Joshua Raines. I am currently an unemployed web designer in Southern California. I love hockey and everything surrounding it. I play ice hockey in an adult beer league. I currently play in a keeper fantasy hockey league on the CBS site and I have been in this league for 2 years now and I am extremely committed to it.
I would love to take over as a GM of a teams minors squad to learn the ropes. I have never done a SIM league before but have checked out many of them in hopes of one day joining. If selected I would love to be paired with someone who is extremely active and can give great tips on how to create a successful team.
I have never done a SIM league but would love to give it a shot and hopefully learn from someone who is a veteran. I used Rob and the Avs organization in my "Story" because the Avs are my favorite team but would gladly help any team that needs it.
"Colorado Avalanche GM, Rob Lee, made the difficult decision to hire a GM for his minor league squad, the 'Regina Rebels.' This has been a wide spread rumor that was finally given the nod by Rob Lee himself. Rob stated in a press conference, 'I decided to have an assistant GM/Regina GM so that I may bring more blood into this fine league. Having another set of eyes on the main goal of competing in this league is never a bad idea.'
The league must still approve this decision, but this reporter feels that there will not be an issue. We met up with the new GM hopeful Joshua Raines in a closed doors interview. Joshua had the following to say about this exciting news: 'I have done research on this league and I feel this is a great fit for me. Obviously, I want to start out in the big leagues, but no one becomes top dog in one night. Hopefully by being apart of a great organization will allow me to learn the ropes and become successful in this league. It takes passion and pride to build a dynasty. I plan to bring everything I can to this league to make sure that happens.'
When asked what his plans were if asked to become the GM of the Regina Rebels, he had this to say: 'I plan to stay the course with what the big guy (Rob Lee) has planned. Hopefully, I can have some sort of freedom in which to make this team successful but ultimately, Rob is the man in charge. I plan on taking his advice and making sure that the team stays the course he wants. Making changes that fit the bill for the team he has created. All I can do is play with the cards I am dealt. If I am given a Queen high then I will make sure that Queen high plays like a Royal Flush!'
Powerful words, from a powerful attitude."
