It had to be done...over the last few weeks I considered all of the options for teams I was going to face, and went over strengths and weaknesses...I thought I'd do quick guesstimates for everyone else.
Eastern Conference:
1 Buffalo Sabres
2 New York Rangers
3 Florida Panthers
4 Philadelpha Flyers
5 New Jersey Devils
6 Ottawa Senators
7 Washington Capitals
8 Atlanta Thrashers
Buffalo vs Atlanta
This series has one of the favourites for the Cup since the beginning of the season, the Buffalo Sabres, taking on a very solid team that underachieved all season long. Atlanta would need superb goaltending to pull off a victory, however they have that. Long story short, this series belongs to Buffalo, but Atlanta can make it very interesting. Should be a fun, hard fought series.
Buffalo in Six
New York vs Washington
Many people may not give Washington much of a chance in this series, the Rangers are a very strong two way team, and they've been firing on all cylinders all season long. Except for against the Capitals, who have beaten them in both of their games this season, once in OT, and once in regulation. This will be a battle of goaltenders, and I give the overall edge in this series to the Rangers.
New York in 6
Florida vs Ottawa
Defence wins Championships, and you'll be hard pressed to find a better Defence than what Ottawa has assembled. Beyond that, goaltenders play a very key role, and Ottawa has one. Cam Ward wins this series for Ottawa, however, Mr. Malkin puts on a show.

Philadelphia vs New Jersey
Martin Brodeur. There, I said it. The best goalie in the NsHL by far. A Cup winner in the past, and a finalist as well. Tough to bet against that horse. Philadelphia is a complete team though, from top to bottom, both teams are very strong defensively. This one comes down to the nets, and Jersey has what it takes.
