-- Quebec, QU
With the AsHL season almost 70% completed, the Quebec rock are third in their Conference and first in their division. They have had a recent surge which is correlated to the demotion of Jeff Glass upon the acquisition of Martin Gerber.
After being sent down to the Quebec Rock, Jeff Glass has posted a total record of 12-4-2. He has a save percentage of .926% and a goals against average just north of two at 2.01 GAA. He has also posted four shutouts this season.
If you combine those numbers with his 2.22 GAA and .922 save percentage with the Capitals, Jeff Glass has had a superb third year as a professional hockey goalie.
"We are very happy with the progress Jeff has made this year. It's important to bring him along slowly and allow his mental game to develop at the same speed as his physical game. We are being delicate with Glass as we believe he will be a very good goaltender in the NsHL in the next 2-4 years. We want him to maximize his development in the farm league, and assuming he makes the playoffs with the Quebec Rock this year, it will be a very good stage for him to perform when the pressure is on. He hasn't been in a situation full of pressure since he led Canada to the Gold at the World Juniors. We want him to gain all the experience and soak up everything down the stretch run in the AsHL, and hopefully right through a deep run in the AsHL playoffs" GM Cawker told the media.
