Well the season is quickly upon us so we can discuss some of the things going on with the AsHL.
First, you can have another person as a GM for your AsHL franchise if you would like, just make sure that you guys are on the same page. I will be doing roster updates daily so for example.
New York Rangers call up Zach Parise and send down Jiri Hudler, then when i do League Files i will make Parise inactive and Hudler active. I will be going off that days transactions so if you call someone up that day he wont be able to play in the AsHL. The league files might not be up to that day but use your judgment when doing those lines or they will probably be auto-ed. We can deal with that later though. I am not hiring a GM for my minor league team as i want to set my own lines and get my young players going in the right direction. Eventually i could be but i would make sure it is someone who is on the same page, i would advise to do that if you are looking. Also if you do hire a GM that could bode well in them getting a look for future openings in the NsHL if they do good work.
Secondly i know rosters are going to change so i do expect league files to up or any roster files to be up until after camp breaks and the preseason is over.
Third i will be simming much later than the NsHL so as to be able to catch up. The exact time will depend on my work and semi-social life but it should be around midnight EST most days. Nothing important as of now but i am working late tonight and was bored so decided to do this.
Fourth, this will have bearing on your players ratings. Nothing like playing in the big show but much more than last years basketball games that were going on.
Financials will be minimal if any, we have discussed this and it doesnt look like there is a realistic way to add it in but i am sure there could be something.
Lastly, you dont have to do lines, if it is too much for you that is ok, they will be autoed if not done, but this is the future of your organization and should be monitored, we think this is the type of things that will make this league the best around.
I am sure i will think of more as we get closer to the puck dropping but the most important thing is make sure if you do get a GM for your AsHL team make sure you are happy with the choice. I totally incourage anyone to look around for one and hope it is fun for all
