-- Quebec City, QU
After starting the season 4-0, the Quebec Rock have not been able to play consistent hockey and are currently just outside of the playoffs, playing .500 hockey. With last year's MVP Jeff Glass being sent down to Quebec just over a week ago, there is a sense of optimism throughout the Rock's dressing room.
"He was one of the best, if not the best goalie in the league last year. Martin Houle has been great, but Jeff Glass just knows how to get it done and he is going to be a great goaltender in the big leagues one day" veteran teammate Brian Sutherby said.
Leading the team in points in Chad Painchaud, with three goals and nine assists to go along with a +8 rating in thirteen games.
"Chad has been doing really well for us. He is a quick, two-way player that has proven he is a legitimate AsHL scorer. Hopefully one day he can translate his success to the NsHL," said GM Cawker.
There is still plenty of games remaining in the AsHL season. Only time will tell if Jeff Glass is able to turn this squad around and bring them back up to the top of the Eastern conference, where he had them for the majority of the 2006-2007 season.
