In a press conference earlier today, Washington Capitals General Manager Spencer Cawker named young FHLsim player Greg Domino as General Manager of the minor league franchise, the Portland Pirates.
Rumors had been circulating that Greg had offers from a number of teams, but wasn't satisfied with them. "I am happy that I found a General Manager that was interested in taking the time to interview me, ask me some questions and introduce me to the league and explain the way it operates," commented GM Greg. "I had a very nice chat with Mr. Cawker and we decided that I was a perfect fit for their organization."
Not only was Greg announced as the General Manager of the Pirates, he was also named as Assistant General Manager of the NsHL Washington Capitals club. When questioned about his responsibilities with the Capitals, Greg said that "I will lend my advice to Mr. Cawker, and am free to chat trade with other teams for players on both the Capitals and the Pirates."
Reporters quickly shifted the interview in the direction of the teams, and which way they will be going this year. "I don't know much about Mr.Cawkers plans with the Capitals, but we have discussed what we want to do with the Pirates. In the plans are a definate playoff spot, and hopefully an AsHL cup victory. We have gone over which players we would like to have the most ice time, and which players we want to sit back and lead. We are hoping for a succesful year in both the standings and player improvements," said Mr. Domino about the team.
GM Greg thanked everyone for attending and announced that "I am very happy to be in such a great organization and league. I give thanks to Mr. Cawker and the rest of the GM's in this wonderful comunity."
