Springfield, MA- Union-News sport reporter Amanda Huginkiss at down with GM Adam Taylor after his press conference announcing Springfield as their minor league franchise.
AH- Why did you chose Springfield? AT- Why not? It is the perfect opposite; Phoenix is in the southwest and Springfield in the northeast.
AH- Are you going to run the team yourself? AT- That is a good question. I will have some say in the decisions of the team, however we are interviewing two candidates right now and will have a decsion in a couple days.
AH- How competitive is this team going to be. AT- We should have a good team this year. Our goalie of the future, Dave LeNeveu, will play the full year down there. Last years leading scorer Frantisek Lukes will be playing here also. The team we will be fielding here won the league last year, and should be just as competitive this year.
AH- What league was that? AT- It was more like high school basketball last year, when the pro teams played the minor league teams played at different arenas in the same city.
AH- One last question, how affordable are the ticket prices going to be. AT- Average ticket prices will be around the $12 to $15 mark. We want to make this affordable for families to come out and enjoy professional hockey.
AH- Thank you for your time. AT- No problem thanks for having me.

Please forward your other "losing" candidate to me as I am looking for someone to run St. John's and no one seems to be knocking. potvinfan29@rogers.com
