Guys... Is anyone else dieing for the 2004-2005 season to open? I look at this site every day and I wish it was me in the Conference Finals right now . I love the suspense and the excitement when you wait for the results to be uploaded. I can't wait for next year, any others feel this way too ? Capitals GM Spencer Cawker

Of course who wouldn't. But seeing NJ on the brink of elimination is REALLY helping me out. LOL. Not to mention Calgary is kicking ass in the NHL and Tampa better get going again.

Without question, Spencer.....I am ready for the beginning of next season, although there is a lot of work to do between now and then. Fun stuff like the rerates, the entry draft, resigning free agents, and PDP point investments all lie ahead for us.
I am READY!!!!
I'll be wearing the first round elimination chip all season long.

Not to mention it is a lot more fun when you're not the one who has to manually update the player ratings or run the entry draft! A lot of responsibility and stress there...Good luck to the BOD!

The saddest part is the regular season is about 5 months away. Will there be a pre-season in the 2004-2005 season? I am just counting down the days until the regular season; however, right now my mind set is on the draft and free agency. After that I can worry about the puck dropping:P!!!

Well at least us Canadians can cheer on Calgary in the NHL! (but 5 months is far time away)

It is far away, but we have free agency, the draft, trading and the Hockey World Cup in August to keep us busy. I am pumped and even more happy knowing NHL will be on NBC next year...WOOOOO!

Hey were having a World Cup of Hockey in the NsHL? I'd like to apply for team Canada GM if we are.

I think Jack was referring to the World Cup of Hockey in the NHL, not the NsHL Adriano.
I personally feel that Nate deserves a well-earned rest and even if there was an idea of the World Cup of Hockey I would be against it. We need time away from fantasy hockey and prepare ourselves for the 2004-2005 season.
However, on the other hand. The World Cup of Hockey will be interesting and all I can say is GO CANADA GO!

Agreed. Although I don't like some of the players they chose over Primeau.

I think Wayne Gretzky has more hockey knowledge than all of us here. Although some may not agree with his decisions, I support him all the way.
He has some logic behind his picks, that is guaranteed. I was surprised that Lecavalier, Primeau, McCabe didn't make it.
You got to love Eddie the Eagle. Taking the spot away from Theodore. Canada has a young (Luongo), average (Brodeur) and veteran goalie (Belfour) which should make for a nice mix!

Belfour will not see any action unless Luongo or Brodeur get hurt. And I'm pretty sure Quinn had NOTHING to do with Eddie being picked over Raycroft, Joesph, Turco or Theodore.
Your somewhat right about the three choices though, Luongo (young), Brodeur (veteran), Belfour (old and injury prone).
