Please send me your qualifying offers for your restricted free agents in a separate e-mail. I am keeping track of 20 teams and am attempting to do it with as little chaos as possible. Please title the e-mail:
(Team) RFA qualifying offers
Example: Anaheim RFA qualifying offers
To offer a qualifying offer:
Current salary *(multiplied by) 1.1 =
For instance:
Happy Gilmore makes $950,000
950,000 *1.1= $1,045,000
Or you could do it in two steps:
950,000 * 10%(.1)= $95,000
950,000+95,000= $1,045,000

I'm sure I know the answer to this question. But I'll ask anyway at the risk of sounding stupid.... All RFA's 26 and older must be offered at least league minimum to be qualified....right? There are some circumstances were adding 10% to their salaries would still keep them under the league minimum of $600k....just wanted to be sure before I sent offers....

League minimum contracts are only for unrestricted free agents only, however, for supply and demand reasons, the league minimum contracts can be argued.
If a qualifying offer is below the league minimum it can be the choice of that player to either 1)Go to arbitration (if he is arbritration age elgible) 2)Negotiate with the GM a contract that pays him league minimum 3)Suck it up, know his role, and take the money the gracious GM is offering.
If the contract is below league minimum for one of your steady producers it may be within your best interests to secure a contract that is congruent with league minimums simply so you do not insult him.
You could simply send in your qualifying offers and let other teams bid on them should they wish. Remember, you have the ability to top any contract while a player is your restricted free agent.
