GMs,
The NsHL is excited to be rolling out an active minor league system for the upcoming season. The league will include active line and roster moves as well as accurate and realistic scoring, standings, playoffs, and AsHL CUPS!!! Complete with MVPs, Scoring Champs, and Top Goaltending Honors!! All-Star Games and Tournaments will also be played at the AsHL.
The AsHL will give GMs the flexibility and control of ALL of their players within their pro system. You decide who plays on your top PP unit in the AsHL. You decide who plays in net tonight!! It's going to be very exciting and WILL bring even more realism to the NsHL experience.
We will be working on developing an AsHL mini constitution that should answer all of your questions concerning finances, injuries, scoring, transactions (moving players up and down), etc.
This is very exciting for all of us here at the NsHL. The website/domain has already been purchased as www.asimhl.com and will be rolled out within the next few weeks. We are currently waiting for registration to commence.
Adding a new domain name as an ad-free, pop up free webpage is a great luxury for this or any league. Founding members of the BOD as well as myself have spent a great deal of $$$ to ensure that nothing detracts from your NsHL experience. Why do I say this? Not to 'toot' our own horns or to ask for donations. We simply want all of you to realize the dedication, committment, financial resources, and hard work that is put into this league to make it the best it can be.
The VP of the NsHL, Tony Pisano (commissioner@asimhl.com) will be taking on the duties as the Commissioner of the AsHL and I thank him so much for his dedication to the National sim Hockey League. He brings a ton of dedication and knowledge to the position.
As I said, the new minor league website will be www.asimhl.com . It is a work in progress at the moment and may not be fully completed for a several weeks. It will be linked directly to the NsHL Homepage and we will make the links readily available in several locations through the NsimHL.com network. I trust that each Website will add the new address to their respective homepages. We have a home for the minor leagues!!! YES!
OTHER BUSINESS::
We have added two new members to the current Board of Directors. These two individuals bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and dedication to the NsHL. Bruce Sprackman of Edmonton and Richard Miller of Nashville will join Nathan Kopsack, Commissioner of the NsHL to form the Trade Tribunal. The trade tribunal will be in charge of approving trades throughout the AsHL and the NsHL.
With several members of the BOD involved also in the NsHLPA, we felt that a conflict of interest COULD arise if the trade approval process was left how it was. So, the new trade tribunal is effective IMMEDIATELY. Any trades 'in question' will take 100% approval rating to get passed. Bruce, Richard and I will be in constant communication on transactions throughout the league as they arise. I appreciate their help and dedication to the NsHL. You truly help make the NsHL a great league.
-NEW GM in Calgary!! Andrew Drummond has joined the ranks of the NsHL as he has accepted a position with the Calgary Flames. Andrew brings a wealth of hockey knowledge to the NsHL but may need some 'help' with our league issues along the way. Do not hesitate to give Andrew a helping hand and be sure to welcome him if you see him online. Andrew's contact information:
Full Name: Andrew Drummond
email: anshalky@sympatico.ca
Welcome Andrew!!!!
-Also, please welcome Roger Gorbet to the Buffalo Sabres. Roger is our current media GIANT working with ESN media to bring us tremendous coverage of the NsHL. He will also take on the task of steering the Sabres back into contention while remaining fiscally viable. He brings a wealth of knowledge, unmatched dedication, and a tremendous committment to the league. Please welcome Roger, if you haven't already!
Welcome Roger!!
We have two remaining teams available that I will be actively marketing within the next few days:
The San Jose Sharks
The Florida Panthers
If any of you know of anyone interested in getting into the league. Please send them my way. I'd rather hire GMs that you or I know for these positions.
The BOD is also looking at several minor league rule changes to make the league as fair and balanced as possible. We will be unveiling these changes as we discuss them with all members of the BOD.
I want to thank every GM for their continued dedication to the NsHL. There are some new things happening in the NsHL that we can all be excited about. I am very proud to be a part of the NsHL and look forward to serving you for another great season!!
