The Official NsHL 2003-2004 schedule has been posted. Looks like a big opening night with lots of key matchups. The Battle for LA between the Kopsack twins should be a great game. ANH V. LA (ESPN is picking it up!) ;D
The schedule maker for Batesoft is somewhat primitive so you just have to deal with what they give you. Each team will play their divisional rivals 6 times, conference rivals 2 times, and inter-conference teams twice. There are roughly 8 random games thrown into the mix at the schedule makers discretion. Sometimes funny match-ups happen.
Secondly, financials. Do not be alarmed with the "bottom line" figures in the financial section of the website. The sim has NOT taken into account any revenue so it looks like everyone is losing tons of money. Once we've played several games and your team has played home games, the revenue and bottom line will be adjusted accordingly.
For those of you who are formulating budgets(the die-hards like myself), expect your ticket prices plus a figure between $23.60 and $35.60 per seat in merchandising and concession sales to go towards your revenue. These figures are based on how many superstars you have on your team.
Therefore, if your ticket prices are $30, you can expect to get roughly $53.30-$65.30 per seat for your hockey games. The higher the price of the ticket, the less likely you are to sell out. If you are budgeting, may I suggest about a conservative 85% seat capacity initially to formulate early projections. Just FYI.
That's all from the desk of the Commissioner. I will be following up this post with a league mailer with essentially the same information. Thank you.
