On behalf of the Board of Directors, the League, and its affiliates, I would personally like to welcome each and every new GM to the NsHL. We are in for a great inaugural season. I am very excited about the caliber of GM's we are looking at on a day to day basis and our GM positions should fill up rather quickly. If any current personnel know of good, quality GM's that you could recruit to help make the NsHL a better league, that would be fantastic. Please direct them to the BOD or myself if they have any questions. In the meantime, the following is a basis snopsis of what is "going down" in the next few weeks:
-Roster completion will be finished no later than Nov. 5th. (They will probably be done this weekend, but I don't want anyone to hold me to that. )
-Trade moratorium will be lifted once ALL GM positions are filled. (Again, if anyone knows good quality GM's that could fill positions, direct them to me or ANY member of the BOD-.)
-After all GM positions are filled, a FINAL unassigned list will be issued. (the current unassigned list is just a basic overview of what players will be there.) At this time, a week long UFA period will begin. This will be announced and all GM's will have fair warning. With most rosters near full, I don't suspect that a lot of teams will be "players" in the UFA market.
-After the week long UFA period is over(teams can still sign UFA's all year long), THE PUCK DROPS for OPENING NIGHT!!!!! My guesstimate is the Sunday(Nov. 30th) after U.S. Thanksgiving (which is the last Thurs. of Nov.). For those of you that have been in this since the beginning, we are a month ahead of schedule!!!!
-Filling BOD positions- Current BOD members are as follows:
Nathan Kopsack- Commissioner
Mark Kopsack- Media President
Tony Pisano-Finance Committee Chairman and VP of League Operations (newly appointed)
Mike Henderson-Roster Management
Each committee will be needing several members to fill specific duties for the league. The Committee chairs will contact all GM's when they begin looking for members. Your participation would be helpful so consider getting involved.
-Meanwhile, if all current GM's could begin compiling their information that they've gathered with the help of the GM Starter Kit. (salaries, age checks, position changes, etc. etc.). I will probably not get to ANY of them until all rosters are done, and players are set.
Also, I will be uploading onto the site league files very soon. For GM's new to the GM Editor, you will need to become familiar with it asap.
-We will have NO PRE-SEASON for the first season. Just FYI. We will go directly into OPENING NIGHT.
Again, I want to thank each and every GM for their participation. I truly believe that the hard work of the league management team and myself will truly reap fantastic dividends for a spectacular sim hockey experience. Good luck to everyone and God bless!
