I am confused about undrafted free agents, I looked on the constitution and it reads:
"Undrafted Free Agents signing their first pro contract can be signed at the maximum of 1st round compensation. (see table-right)"
on the table is says the max for 1st round pick is $1,000,000. I was curious how much Dustin Penner went for and his salary says $1.5 Million.
I guess I just need a clarification for future reference if I want to go after guys in Penner situation.
Thanks Guys.

I apologize for the confusion. Should we have young unrestricted free agents that have played in the NHL in the future, they will be specified in their capsules what their bidding structure will be like. Players that have played in the NHL such as Penner, Lebda, etc. are considered unrestricted free agents as they are rated with their NHL time included.
Players such as Morgan Cey, Rich Peverley, Mike Iggulden, etc. are considered these group I guys. I apologize for the confusion. In the future, it will be in their capsules.
When you contact the NsHLPA for young guys to fill your farm teams, the NsHLPA will specify what type of free agent they are. Thank you.
