Hey, was wondering this today, and if someone could help me out with an answer, it would be appreciated.
How are coaches rated? And are they re-rated season by season on NsHL stats or NHL stats? And what about coaches who aren't coaching in the NsHL, are they re-rated year by year as well, say if they're coaching in the NHL, or does their rating stay the same?
Thanks guys!

Coaches get re-rated on how they play in the sim. They are also created based on how they are in the NHL, but are never re-rated based on NHL performance. I'm not sure about the unemployed coaches. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Actually, he's about right.
Coaches get re-rated on a few variables:
a.) how their team performed
b.) stability of organization (steady GM)
c.) GM involvement (how active the GM is)
I will be re-rating the coaches sometime after the players re-rates are published. (Should be by June 1)

That's great Nate, thanks for everyone clarifying that. But one follow up question Nate......
Let's take a guy like Lindy Ruff. He's not currently coaching in the NsHL, but had a stellar season in the NHL. How is he re-rated, or is he re-rated from his current stats?

We are a simulation, so he gets rated according to how he has performed this year in the sim.
