Jim Rome talked about Todd Bertuzzi wanting back in the NHL. If there aren't any clones out there like Rob and I, then this is what you miss on a daily basis:
"Todd Bertuzzi, the hockey player who practically decapitated Steve Moore during a game, is asking the NHL to re-instate him. Moore may never be able to play again, but Bertuzzi wants back in the league.
Which begs the question: What league? How can you be re-instated to something that doesn’t exist anymore? How can you be re-instated to something that folded up its tents and went away? Does Bertuzzi really want them to re-instate him so he can ‘not’ play hockey like the rest of the guys in the league?
In case you haven’t noticed, no one is playing hockey. You aren’t any worse off than the rest of the guys. And nice to see the NHL is still conducting business. What else is on their agenda? The scab trading deadline? The schedule for next years cancelled games? Wouldn't you hate for the business of hockey to go away just because there's no hockey?"
