The Washington Capitals are reportedly interested in making some major changes before this Saturday's deadline, more specifically their back end. GM Spencer Cawker told reporters "To put it bodly, Kolzig is playing like crap. He needs to pick up his game, and we have given him many oppurtunities to do so. He just can't seem to pull through when we need him most. You can expect us to make some changes before the deadline, if the deal is right. However, we aren't saying we don't have confidence in Kolzig. It is just something he will have to gain back by his performance scale. We also need some depth at the wing. Expect us to be very busy on the days approaching deadline day."
