The Atlanta Thrashers re-signed forwards Scott Mellanby and Dean Mcammond to contract extentions. Terms of the deals were not disclosed. Sportsnet has learned that Mellanby signed an extenstion for next year and that Mcammond is locked in for three. The Thrashers have no remaining unrestriced free agents but a number of restricked free agents including Johnson, Boileau, DiPenta, Cassivi, and Corvo. It is expected that qualifing offers will be sent to these players. More details to follow.
