St. Loius Dispatch- The St. Loius Blues lost their first game of the 2003 NsHL season last night to the new look Washington Capitals. But they may have lost more then just that in the short terms anyway. Following a first night injury that will Keep Keith Thachuk out of the Blues line-up for at least a week, the Blues got even more unlucky last night when 2 more of their stars went down with injuries and are slated to miss at least 1 week. Pavol Demitra and Barret Jackman join Thachuk on the injury list and leave St.Loius with some gapping holes to fill, at least short term. For now Murray Baron, Bill LIndsay and buddy star Collin Hemingway will fill the vacated roles.
"We have confidence in the depth and resolve of out team and out farm system, we will pull through this...its a long season." Blues GM- Gavin Gear comments following the 4-3 loss at, home in St. Loius.
