Vancouver Sun--With the puck ready to drop, Vancouver finally pulled the curtain off of their brand new team. With the addition of Dominick Hasek, Matthew Barnaby, Radim Vrbata, and Andreas Johannsson they feel they'll be a fomiddable team in the wild wild west. GM Mike Henderson feels that this team has a "three year window" to obtain Lord Stanley's cup. "Our first goal will be to play strong team hockey. Secondly, to obtain a place in the western conference playoffs. This team has dotted with verteran and young players. We feel confident that our older players will take the young guns under their wings and show them what it's like to play in the NSIMHL." Team captain Trevor Linden has stated: "We are ready and we are confident." The season gets under way tonight with the Canucks taking on the powerful Colorado Avalanche. Tonight will be a true test of how far this team can go.
