The Laval Rocket on a 9-0-2 run have now taken over the top spot in the AsimHL. With the parent team floundering it is a bright spot in Montreal Canadien organization.
There is not really one player or superstar that you can point to for the surge. It seems to be team effort that has brought the Rocket to the top for now.
" I have to give credit to veteran players like Fucale, Moore and Brassard. They got sent down to the A to help lead this team and that is what they are doing. Showing the younger players the way to be a Pro. They could be players who play very little minutes, but in Laval they have a important role. They are showing players like Suzuki, Doan, Faber what it takes day to day to be a pro. Advance their career. And it also gives them opportunities as they wind down their careers." GM Goetzinger.
" I am having fun playing on line with Suzi and Vedji. We seem to be able to get the job done. We are on a good roll right now but we want to keep it going all season. " - Brassard
" Zach has been lights out for us. .93 save percentage. 1.99 GAA. We try to let him see the shots. Keep teams to the outside and he does the rest. " - Faber
" The team in front has made my job and Hunter a simpler one. We can see the shots. They clear the way. We try to direct rebounds to corners or cover it. Winning is fun. No matter the level. We come to work. We are happy. " Fucale
Are there rumblings of any call ups to the big club ? A quick responce from the GM. "Not a chance. We want to ride this winning atmosphere"
