Oakland, Ca.- The Oakland Seals have won an unprecedented 4th AsHL Championship by beating the Philadelphia Phantoms 3-0 to win the AsHL Cup series 4-2. "The Los Angeles Kings organization has always prided itself on it's depth of youth and veterans. " said GM Nathan Kopsack. "This year was a special year because so many young players took steps forward. I'm thrilled for these guys."
The Oakland Seals were one of the better regular season teams led by youngsters Joey Anderson, Jack Drury, and Jacob Movarere (on defense) mixed with veterans like Jonny Brodzinski and Dylan Sikura (both LA Kings draftees). "IT's a great mix in Oakland. They are a tough team. Speed, grit, experience, and young talent. They deserved this." concluded GM Kopsack.
The Oakland Seals have won more AsHL Cups (2011,2015,2017, 2023) than any other franchise in AsHL history and the Western Conference and swept the league championships this season.
This is IP Freely for LA Kings Hockey.
**on a side note, we tip our caps to Jack and the Philly organization. They are a great organization and a quality opponent. They always have a formidable squad." concluded Kopsack.
