Seattle, WA - The stretch started with a couple of trades, and the trend in Seattle continued with some highs and lows as the team continued to tread water with a .500 record. Tyler Johnson has looked like he couldn't be happier to be back in the Pacific Northwest, and he is turning his line-mates, Logan O'Connor and Gustav Nyquist into stars.
THE GOOD:
The top two lines have been producing consistently. Tyler Johnson put up an excellent 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) in eight games. Gustav Nyquist (4 goals, 4 assists), Anthony Mantha (2 goals, 6 assists) and Logan O'Connor (4 goals and 4 assists) all hit the point per game mark. Seven players with a positive plus/minus [O'Connor +7, Johnson +6, Nyquist +5, Robert Hagg +4, Jan Rutta +3, Pat Marron and Roland McKeown +1] Adin Hill posted a 2.68 average and .928 save percentage in three games, largely due to a 47 save shutout. The powerplay hit 30% on 20 attempts
THE BAD:
Only Nazem Kadri was better than 50% on the draw at 52.6% [Johnson 47.9, Ryan Donato 44.4, Brad Richardson 48.6%]
THE UGLY:
The penalty kill sunk even further to 76% on 25 tries. Pat Maroon has yet to score a point in 7 games. Alexander Barabanov was -7 with just 3 points.
After a hot start with the team, Just Schultz cooled to 1 point in 8 games.
More growing pains for the fledgling franchise, but some bright spots along the way.

Tyler Johnson can finally breathe that Pacific Northwest air and it's reinvigorated his season. Glad to see he's enjoying his time in his home state.
