Raleigh, NC - They did it, the Carolina Panthers are back-to-back Calder Champions and for the second time their win came over a team led by a Kopsack. This time the Carolina Panthers defeated Nathan Kopsack's Oakland Seals four games to two. Carolina now has won the AsHL Championship three times in a span of four years and it is their fourth Calder Cup since 2013. This team had a lot of youth injected into the lineup this season with players like Noah Dobson (25gp, 3-19-22), Alex Texier (25gp, 8-13-21), Adam Gaudette (25gp, 9-11-20) and Jesper Boqvist (25gp, 9-10-19) helping the cause. "I'm really proud of the guys and for some of them it will likely be their last time in the minors as we expect them to make the jump to the big club next season. Noah Dobson has seen his last game on the farm and we believe there are a few others that will be joining him with the Hurricanes. That being said, the guys gave it their all and we are happy for them all," said GM Ron Jones. This is Opie Taylor for The Mayberry Gazette

Great run Ron, congrats. I thought I was going to see you there in the finals, but Nate had different ideas in Oakland, coming back from 3-1 down.
