For new players entering the league via the unassigned list, the NsHL will have the following limits on contract length and financial terms.
18-22 years of age: 3 years
23-24 years of age: 2 years
25 years of age: 1 year
Maximum salary: $2,000,000
Maximum signing bonus money: $2,000,000
Maximum total: $4,000,000
These players also will not be eligible for performance bonuses.
Players age 26 and above will not have any limits.
Also, please keep in mind the signing bonus may not exceed the average yearly salary.
For players who the limits do apply this summer, they will not apply next summer. That means if a player is not signed in his first season, he is then free to sign for whatever he can get.
For this season, these limits will apply to the players listed below.
