The new farm club of the Vegas Golden Knights, the Atlantic City Blackjacks, have finally found their new coach. John Hynes has been officially named the 2nd coach in the AsHL affiliates history. Hynes signed a 2 year contract. Vegas' coach, Bob Hartley, also has 2 years left on his contract, and speculation is Hynes is being groomed to take over the Vegas head coaching duties in the not-too-distant future.
Hynes didn't coach last season, and makes his NsHL/AsHL debut with a much improved roster. The team moved from Austin this offseason and parted ways with Lane Lambert after a disappointing season.
Last year, the team had trouble scoring as Matt Stajan led the team with just 45 points. This year, they add some youth up front with sniper Filip Zadina making the jump and players like Zach McEwen and Alexandre Fortin expected to progress.

It is not his AsHL debut. He coached the Spurs for 3 seasons. He declined to renew his contract because he wanted a shot at a NsHL head job. He did well here. Good coach.
