Oakland, Ca.- The Oakland Seals are going back to the AsHL Cup Final after dispatching the Western Conference leading Iowa Wild 4 games to 1 in the Conference Finals. The Oakland Seals did so by outscoring their oppponents 17-11 and getting solid goaltending from Louis Domingue. "We have gotten hot at the right time." said long time captain TJ Hensick. "We are playing as a team and it's been a lot of fun." Hensick's play, in years past, has normally led the way but Oakland's impressive array of youngsters have taken over. Forwards Oliver Bjorkstrand and Bryan Rust lead their team in points and goals respectively. Other youngsters having outstanding playoff performances include Mattias Janmark and Danton Heinen supporting an impressive well rounded attack.
"Oakland can score from all four lines." said GM Nathan Kopsack. "We are very pleased with our organizational depth and the youngsters showing their playoff acumen. The future is going to be very bright for this Los Angeles Kings organization." concluded Kopsack
The Seals are moving on to face the Norfolk Admirals in a "COAST TO COAST" match up for the AsHL. It should be a great one!
