Des Moines, Iowa AP By Ben Dover
For the second straight season, the Minnesota Wild's top affilitation in the ASHL has made the conference finals. This season has had a much different feel than last, with the baby Wild sweeping their way through the first two rounds. This past series was a special one for Daniel Catenacci, having played with the Ontario Reign before being traded to Iowa. " They had been a thorn in our side all season" said Catenacci " I was hoping our boys would win when it counted, and we did I cant wait to compete in the conference finals"
Iowa now awaits the winner of the Oakland Seals and Texas Stars series which is deadlocked at 2 games apiece. When Iowa Wild General Manager Dan Ramage was asked on who he would rather face he smiled and said " It doesn't matter to us who we play. We are just sticking the the process and taking it a game at a time, a lot can happen in the playoffs "
8 wins down, 8 to go and the Minnesota Wilds farm team can call themselves back to back champions!
Until next time
