Three of Binghamton's forwards were selected to represent the Eastern Conference at this seasons all star game. Rookie, Jake Virtanen, Jesper Fast and Tomas Jurco. The Senators could have argued a case for Gabe Bourque to be there as well. The first two goals of the game were scored by Senators with Jurco and Fast tallying for the east. Jurco would go on to net 3 more goals including the game winner in the 3rd period. Jesper Fast would score 1 more goal for 2 on the night while Jake Virtanen would finish of a great passing play by Richmond team mates Nylander and Puljujarvi. The East would win the all star game 11 to 9 and the Senator forwards accounted for 7 of the 11 goals. "It is definitely exciting for us to see the future of our franchise performing so well on a big stage. We were there doing a bit of scouting and to be honest I think out guys shined the brightest." GM Nate Hickerson said about his trio of forwards. Hickerson went on to say that he fully expects all of Virtanen, Fast, and Jurco to be up with the big club as early as next season.
