Hope that you are all enjoying a great holiday season with those closest.
If you have had the luxury of playing the Capitals this season, or have taken any time to look at the bottom of the standings, you will probably have noticed how bad my squad is playing this season.
Matt Carle (D) is likely to be the scapegoat after going a team worst -11 through 14 games this season. Carle is a veteran with solid ratings that make him an all-around threat in the sim [71 CK, 75 SK, 73 DF, 66 SC] but he has not met expectations. All offers will be considered.
Further, there have been several inquiries into the availability of Steven Stamkos. I will go on record as saying that there have been several discussions in the past that have involved moving the young franchise player, including within the last 2 weeks.
Steven is a among the top scorers of all-time in the NHL, and I can say up front that he wont come cheap.
It is possible that he could move for the right deal. I would be seeking a sizable package of assets including for example:
- Top 6 NHL Forward
- Top 4 NHL Defence
- Top prospect
- Top draft pick
Each offer will be looked at, but any successful offer will have to be something that changes my franchise, as Stamkos is a franchise player - with untapped sim upside.
I would also be interested in any offer that included a top NHL goaltender and/or blue chip goaltending prospects.
