Hello fans!
For the first time in... Well, ever, the rangers will be going to the postseason. After a crazy season which saw more trades than anyone could have predicted, the results are finally beginning to show and, had you been listening carefully, you likely would have heard GM Cooper's audible celebration after Ottawa's loss last night. "I had a few beers and sat down to watch the game knowing it had big implications for us", Cooper commented. "Perhaps the neighbours will knock on my door today to remind me that the weekend doesn't start on Thursday night but for now, I'm just enjoying the moment."
"Obviously we wish Nate and Ron the best as they battle for the last remaining spot", said Cooper. "We know better than anyone how anxious those last couple of games can be when you're sitting on the cusp. May the best man win".
Although the last two games will have no impact on playoff status, they will determine who the rangers will match up against in the first round and that's not a fact that's lost on Cooper. "Listen, I'm hoping to God that these guys aren't partying too hard because, although either of these teams will pose an incredible challenge, at the end of the day we want to avoid playing Washington until we have to. Rob has done an incredible job with that team and anyone matching up with him should be terrified. With any luck, we can go out these last two games and get 4 points. It's really up to us from this point on."
The Rangers play the struggling Pens twice more to close out the season before heading into the first playoff series in GM Cooper's tenure. Serious work was been done this season to turn this team around and the best news of all is that almost every single player will return for the 2024/25 season meaning this could be the start of a perennially competitive team.
Fingers crossed đ¤

Congratulations, but you and I played in the first round several years back. Maybe in 2019.

Is all the past season stuff archived somewhere or do you just have a really good memory?

It wasnât bad. 5 game series but no blow outs. I find it intriguing that skin head Jack has the term âblow outâ in his vocabulary. He hasnât been able to have that hairstyle since 4th grade.

I donât think Geordie is in officially. If he loses both his games and Ottawa wins, then they would have same amount of points. However, Ottawa would have more wins and I would think that wins would be the first tiebreaker.

That makes sense, but how come the website doesn't have Ottawa as being eliminated.

That makes sense, but how come the website doesn't have Ottawa as being eliminated. Its an STHS thing I think. Same reason it doesn't have that I have clinched the division. When points are going to end up tied, it often times won't process on the standings page. Just a glitch probably.
