Los Angeles, Ca.- The Los Angeles Kings have been busy over the last few weeks. With the team floundering below the playoff picture for most of the season, it appears LA Kings management is prepared for a re-tool. Now it's up to the fans to stay patient with them as they transition their team and move on from some of the fan favorites. "Instead of watching the franchise swirl a slow death, I'm hopeful that fans will quickly see our vision and appreciate our retool for this franchise. We need to get back to winning and ultimately winning another NsHL Cup. That's our goal." concluded GM Nathan Kopsack.
In separate deals, the Kings have traded Chris Kreider, Kris Letang, Pius Suter, James Van Reimsdyk, and franchise goalie John Gibson. "We had to move on from some of our core players for many years. These guys have given us everything and for that we are eternally grateful. They are consummate professionals and know this is a business." added GM Nathan Kopsack. "We wish these guys the best and hope they lift an NsHL Cup in the near future."
The Kings have brought in a pool of young players to help re-energize the franchise. Defensemen D'Andre Miller highlights an impressive list of young players the Kings have traded for in recent weeks. "We love this kid. He's big, can skate, and plays a good two way game. He's the LA King's blueline future along with guys like Pavel Mintukov who will be signing with us next season on our blueline. In a deal for Kris Letang, the Kings acquired Ville Heinola to add offensive depth to the blueline. "We love Ville's speed and skating. He gives us some great skill and a powerplay QB in the future." We have some young guys who will make a big impact in the near future on the backend. These guys will lead the way" concluded Kopsack.
On offense, the Kings have added Jack Quinn, Yegor Chinakov, and John Beecher. "Jack and Yegor are going to make an immediate impact for our club this season. We plan on playing these guys in supportive roles in LA this season." added Kopsack. "They have skill, can score, and they can manufacture offense. We are very high on these guys." said Kopsack. "John Beecher is a very good role player and his career is just getting started. Look for him to challenge for an NsHL position as early as next year.
If a franchise is going to find success for years to come, they have to be able to draft. "We have added two 1st round picks, and several later picks in the 2024 draft. " said GM Nathan Kopsack. "We are poised to reload the coffers with good young players and to position the Kings for the next decade." added Kopsack. "We trust that our fans will hang with us. We are excited about our future and we think you should be as well." concluded Kopsack.
In other news, James Reimer (goalie) has returned to the LA Kings. "We drafted this kid in the 4th round many years ago and he's had a stellar career winning a cup. Our ultimate goal is to move him to a playoff team to give him another chance at a Cup but we will keep him for old time sake. We're happy he's here." said GM Nathan Kopsack.
"We're not done yet. We have a few more moves to make. " said GM Nathan Kopsack. "The future is bright here!"
