The Kings selected yet another big defensemen with their first selection in the 4th round. U of Maine bound Keith Yandle is another 2 way defensemen with excellent skating and scoring ability. "This kid has been on our radar for two years. We are extremely pleased to get Keith with this selection. He has a great combination of size (6'2" 203lbs) and skill: hard shot, smooth skating and lateral movement, and has excellent vision. We like his offensive upside as well." said Kopsack. Expect Keith to play all four years at Maine to develop his total game.Keith has finished his career with 1140 career NsHL games, all with the Los Angeles Kings. "We wish him all the best in his retirement." continued GM Kopsack. "We've had Yandle on our blueline for so long that we aren't sure what it's like NOT to have him out there." chuckled Kopsack. "He's a class act. One team. Drafted a King. Won a NsHL Cup as a King. Will retire a King. We wish him nothing but the best in his retirement." concluded Kopsack. Attachments:
