I'd much rather have a team on the ice in the playoffs then not. That should be your goal every year to make the playoffs, unless your a rebuilding team -- which you are not.

That definitely is one of my goals, but I don't just want to win the playoffs, I want to win the Cup. Anyways, we both proved our points no more time for this game, at least for today...

Jack, it cost you $14,000,000 for one round. That's a ripoff if you ask me . Actually Spencer, it didn't cost me anything. Players do not get paid in the playoffs. I only made money buddy. By the way, an average attendance of 15,691 isn't going to support a $55,000,000 million dollar payroll in a medium market, unless you go deep into the playoffs. I think that was made clear last season. And finally, what you fail to realize is that Adriano and I are LARGE MARKET TEAMS thus giving us more flexibility when it comes to spending money. Adriano and I have different philosophies when it comes to it (I don't have a very large payroll), but that doesn't change the fact that we recieve $8,000,000 compensation from the League and that our teams reside in a MAJOR CITY where there are more people which translates into a greater chance to draw fans. Spencer, my team will clearly be better then yours this year, cheaper by 6-8 million, younger and have better upside for many years to come. I can't wait for us to play because nothing will statisfy me more then kicking your teams @$$!!! I'm done rambling now, but look forward to the rivalries brewing.

Adriano and Jack: You two should have made it down to the draft like Spencer did, that way we could have seen you slug it out in person. Off the record my $$$$ would be on Spencer.

I wish I could have made it, but I was on a hockey tournament in Philadelphia, so at least I was in the same state as you. Anyway, I wouldn't fight Spencer over a fantasy hockey rivalry that I don't even take personally. I'd shake his hand, light up a cigar and drink a few beers instead. I've seen Spencer's pictures and he looks pretty small. I'm not sure how well things would go for him against my 5'11", 180 pound body. Especially when I go Pearl Harbor when I get angry. Even ask my father Dave. He can tell you that I am built like a bull and carry big baggage (unlike him). ;D

Yeah it was a bold and entertaining statement but those words are much like Jack's team: All talk and very little substance!
You heard it hear first: Capitals will finish at least two spots above Philly.

Jack, when I referred to the money, I meant payroll. And know what you're talking about, my average attendance of 15,691 was without the two 80 OV players I acquired in Joseph and Guerin which will drastically drive up my attendance. And no, you're not younger, quick fact, I had more picks than you this year. I didn't want to resort to this, but now I must admit I will have the last laugh when you see the score between our two teams next year.
I'm done, nothing else to say.

And just for that, when we play our first game "the 11 million dollar" man is going to have crippled knees.

Spencer, for your sake I hope Guerin and Joseph do drive up your attendance drastically. I already have JR (80 OV) and added Pronger last year (81 OV at the time) and it backfired greatly, but I learned a valuable lesson from it. I lost money because of it. Guerin and Joseph may help your attendance a little at the beginning of the season, but in the end it is gonna come down to the product on the ice, not the OV of the players on it. And lastly, Spencer, I made that post not Adriano.

Relax it was a typo.
I have a good idea, this thread is off limits and all this bickering will end. Let's battle it out on the ice, not off the ice.
